There has never been a player who has annoyed me more that Cristiano Ronaldo. And it's not just because he's an arrogant Manchester United player - it's the fact that he shows no respect whatsoever to his fans or his manager at Old Trafford.

When the talking started about his possible transfer to Real Madrid, the man could have come out and stopped it all by simply saying: "I'm going nowhere". But instead he leaves it and lets it grow bigger and bigger. So big that it becomes the biggest sports story of the year, which I believe was his aim to start with.

OK, fair enough, it's his dream to play for Real Madrid, but do Manchester United deserve this treatment? As a Liverpool fan, I say "yes" and I scream for more as I laugh out loud at it all.

But I'd hate it if Fernando Torres was doing that to us 'Pool fans, which he could have done when Chelsea were meant to be planning a bid for him this summer. It's a bid that I doubt will happen now, because Torres, unlike Ronaldo, put a stop to it straight away and said he wasn't interested in moving clubs.

As a football fan, I have to say Ronaldo has gone about this all wrong. He's making the club that made him a world star feel like a stepping stone to what he really wants, while the club of his dreams are making themselves look really bad chasing him.

This needs to come to an end; somebody has to say enough is enough and make the next move. United have let bigger names go and didn't miss them and Real have signed better players and used them for all they were worth and moved on to the next big star to replace them.
