No offence to the MLS but Real made a REAL mistake they should have waited and held onto their prized asset, i am afraid nothing can be done to reverse the decision, however there is no real reason he can't still turn out for England

America's more than welcome to the stick insect. They are perfectly suited a stick-thin, talentless tart and a nation of fat, whining, loudmouthed oafs. Poor old Becks just has to tag along with it and smile. Mind, with his extremely limited brain power that's not too taxing for the poor lad, thank goodness! Good job he likes playing football and he's not too bad at it!

Beckham is not only a great player; he has more chutzpah and class than Calderon will ever have. I hope Becks can help bring football er, soccer up a few notches in popularity, in the US. Frankly, if there is a fly in the ointment, it is Becks’ not so better-half… the Yoko-Ono of football!
