Boring? That's one criticism you can never make of Formula 1 legend Schumacher
The German genius is portrayed by the media as an underhanded, uncaring cheat, but underneath lay a gentle, kind man with a heart of gold whose only vices were an outrageous talent and a monstrous appetite for victory.

What is wrong with the modern-day scribblers and contributors to sporting magazines, television programmes and internet sites that label multi-talented legends of their chosen professions boring?
One of the prime examples of the last 15 years or so is the treatment of Michael Schumacher. I know it's not his achievements in the sport that people knock, it's mainly his persona. Or have they attacked his so-called boring and seemingly-uninteresting character on the fact that he is German and outrageously successful?
It's not the done thing is it? It smacks of insane jealousy - a hatred born out of watching a man who, in his prime, was perfection. The boring part only came about because no one could touch him and it was perceived that the majority of Formula 1 fans could not bear to watch any more. Anyone truly interested in motorsport would have found his racing style and flair a joy to watch.
Okay, Schumacher would attempt every dirty trick in the book to get what he wanted, but for me that portrayed an unstoppable appetite for success. There's a huge difference between that and being boring.

Bill Gates and other extremly wealthy people get the same type of attack as everyone starts looking at how they got there. Its called dedication and motivation. Its pure jealousy on the side of the slaggers.

Funny how you have not posted about your beloved ceptic football club today after your rambings during the week about how you had such a good feeling about it ! IOh and how you were three signings away from being a great team! Selective posting, selective memory you tosser!! Well let me remind you your beloved ceptic lost to Glasgow Rangers( a team that is clearly rebuilding and can only get better with further quality signings by Walter, yes maybe three signings gerald to coin one of your phrases ha! ha!) and trail them by six points and they have a game in hand. Have a good day and think before you speak in future you dimwit hot dog seller. Sorry top chef in greasy spoon in Spain! I forgot

Well written mate. How easily the F1 enthusiasts forget that a driver is also an integral part of the team. Like the engineers, mechanics in and outside the pits a driver is responsible to make decissions based on the interest of the team and the interest of money. The skill and talent of the man was so much that it made the others around him look like driving a golf buggey. He not only set the standards of driving but also set the standards of being a world champion. This is not just difficult to equal but uneasy to chase. The man has hung his helmet but left a reflection on his fans of the qualities to which his fans look upon and make him his idol. Not all could acheive this.
