Nearly a year and a half since Michael Schumacher announced his retirement, we are still talking about him. It's testimony to the colossal figure the German maestro is in Formula One and the mark he has left behind.
The story of Schumacher is not just in the numbers he has racked up - 154 podiums, 91 wins, 68 poles and seven championship wins - it is in the way that Schumacher raised the bar in F1 driving.
The sport has seen the departure of many great drivers like Alain Prost and Aryton Senna yet F1 had always been able to tide over the crisis. But such an enormous vacuum was created with the departure of Schumacher that we should ask if the sport will ever be the same.
More poignantly, can F1 come up with another star who would take the focus off the legend’s departure and put it right back on the track? The answer to this is a resounding 'yes' in the shape of Lewis Hamilton.

Always happens. Hamilton is new to the sport. To even speculate that he will beat Schumies records is premature. He may be a great talent but other things influence where you stand podium wise. Your car, your competition's cars, other drivers with just as much talent, accident....there are many facotrs. LEt's not put pressure on him until he has wpon the world championship at least twice.
