Graham Henry is preparing to return the William Webb Ellis back to where it belongs. After the last three weeks of the Super 14 turned to custard for the New Zealand sides and gold for the South Africans, we will need to be on our toes to beat the Boks - or hope someone else beats them.

They have finally learned the art of winning away from home and have unearthed some amazing players along with some established stars. Fourie Du Preez, Victor Matfield and Bryan Habana are stars while Pierre Spies, Franc Steyn and JP Pietersen are rising stars.

The All Black strength will be in their broken-play runs. Despite several injuries, I am picking a real combination of players from different teams. It is so hard to know if players who struggled for game time and form during the Super 14 will be penalised. Since Henry names his this week I am picking my team below. There are tough selections at lock/loose forward for the third openside and final loose forward. The third halfback and utility back are up in the air.

The mix is also crucial. Ma'a Nonu and Nick Evans can both be included in a 14-back/16-forward mix. If it is a 17-forward/13-back mix an extra loose forward like Jerome Kaino, Sione Lauaki or Mose Tuialii can be included. It is tough with form versus past performance another issue!

My selection would be: M Muliaina, L MacDonald (by default really), R Gear, D Howlett (Rokocoko will join during season), S Sivivatu, I Toeava, N Evans/M Nonu/C Smith (utility). Evans is by far the second-best first five, but can we make room for him? We don't have much cover for centre if he's included. I am going for Nonu despite wanting to see Evans there. Evans if 14 backs chosen. L McAlister, A Mauger, D Carter, B Kelleher, P Weepu, J Cowan/A Matthewson/ B Leonard/A Ellis (Cowan on his form and defence).

Forwards: R Soioalo, R McCaw, C Masoe, D Braid/M Holah /J Blackie (I am going for Braid), J Collins, S Lauaki/M Tuialii/J Kaino (we need Lauaki's bulk), T Flavell/J Gibbes/R Thorne (Thorne) Flavell/Tuialii if 17 forwards (Flavell for his impact!), C Jack, A Williams, K Robinson, C Hayman, T Woodcock, N Tialata, J Afoa/C Dermody/G Somerville, (Dermody initially then Somerville for World Cup), A Oliver, K Mealamu, A Hore.
