The W.C is like the Olympics - out of form athletes just don't win. Rugby is a 15 man game and huge prep is needed to mould an outfit that can win continually. Take the 2003 side, they were huge, well practised and at WC time it was their mental toughness built on years of rugby where they had learned how to win that gave them the edge to battle out for more than 80 mins and then win. They were a great team, dominating everyone with their own game. It's ridiculous to think that in a few weeks England can pull together a RWC winning side but hopefully the team has at least one super game in them at this WC. No blame to Brian Ashton - he's only taken over the side.
