I agree with the points raised. Ireland have got to be tough mentally, there is no room for the old Irish smile and shrug. This is their time. I'm looking for on field leadership and a resolute Irish team to maximise the talent of this Irish team
During the games the Irish have to be really tough on themselves ie- when points are scored against them they have to get straight back down the other end and reply (they have the players to do it)- they cannot sit back on their laurels if they want to compete at the business end of this tornament!

It seems from the number of posted articles from the Northern Hemishpere that Ireland are seen as a genuine threat. How much do we read into the pre World Cup loss to Scotland? They have got the flair, but I still think France will knock them over and Ireland will be eliminated in the quarter finals.

Ireland showed yesterday against Scotland why they wont be in contention for the RWC, SH eyes will be on France and England as the the NH threats, while Ireland will struggle to get out of their pool...

as i said in another post that was no-where near ire;ands starting team, keith gleeson, eoin redden, jamie heaslip, tommy bowe were just some of the team playin and who won't be goin the world cup, and its not that the team lacked skill, its experience, the team put out still could of hammered them on their day
