Most of the 20 nations in the 2007 Rugby World Cup have now played three games - and fans the world over have had the chance to see the best players on the planet in action. But who do you think is THE player of the tournament so far?

There are any number of candidates - and your choice doesn’t have to be a member of an elite team. There are plenty of players from so-called minnow countries who have made a big impact.

Of the major players, there have been outstanding contributions from South African try machines Bryan Habana and JP Pietersen and brilliant scrum-half Fourie du Preez; from All Blacks skipper Richie McCaw and virtually all his brilliant teammates; from Wallabies captain Stirling Mortlock and fearless fullback Chris Latham, among others; from Argentina’s wonderful No.9 Agustin Pichot. The list is endless.

On his form in Saturday’s win over Samoa, you might even give the accolade to Jonny Wilkinson - the man who won the 2003 World Cup for England but seems to have been injured ever since. Can't see him winning many votes from Australia, though!

You don’t have to choose one of the players mentioned above. The choice is entirely yours.
