Excellent synopsis by An Fear Duncan.

It was an excellent display by hernandez but, to my mind, his brilliance was given space to shine by the might of those forwards. They wer fantastic, brutal, physical & competetive. It's often said that good forward work dictates the game and it was on display in this match - they blew away the Irish pack. Well done Los Pumas! And I hope that Ireland can recover & repair from this, a major blow but also hopefully a wake-up call.

I´m from argentina. The real name is Juan Martin Hernandez, not Jean. I agree totally with you, but you have to pay atention, Juan Martin was choosen the best fullbak in the world last year. And he was one of the five pre selected for best player in the world. Didn´t you know that?

Sioux, My mistake, thanks for pointing that out. I don't have much time for these theoretical best/Top World team/players as they are not based on players meeting their strongest opponents in real life situations. Some illustrative examples are 'historical best team,' 'current best team,' 'The best players never to have played for Khazakhstan' etc. Players should be assessed and remembered by what they do in real life teams in meaningful games. That's what the next 8 RWC games will do. On a final word, halfbacks can come in inseparable pairs. I think that the Puma 9-10 pairing is enviable. Michael
