Super 14: Sharks and Crusaders are still the ones to beat - bring on the Lions and Highlanders!
Expect the leaders to pull away from the chasing pack with easy victories as the race for the semi-finals hots up.

The top two teams in Super 14 - the Crusaders and the Sharks - have established a small lead over the chasing pack. But there's a real log-jam developing with the Blues, Chiefs, Force, Waratahs and Hurricanes separated by just three points as they battle for two semi-final spots. The clash between the Force and Waratahs could well decide those teams' fates, while the others will need points just to stay in touch. Here's my rundown of how the next round of matches will pan out:
Highlanders v Sharks
After scraping home with a draw thanks to a refereeing blunder, the Sharks will be looking to re-establish their reputation as one of the Super 14 front-runners. Still unbeaten in seven games, they will now be fully adjusted to New Zealand time and conditions and ready to take on one of the competition's cellar dwellers.
Racking up their first win of the season will have taken a great deal of pressure off the Highlanders, but that win over the Lions was far from convincing. Even without the services of Tongan impact player Epi Taione, who was suspended for six weeks, the Sharks will be too good for the Highlanders in Dunedin and should pick up a comfortable win.

Maybe you should watch the Super 14 Hamish, your analysis is poor - Sharks unbeaten with all of their games so far at home against a Highlanders side alot better than it's record suggest - how can you say it won't be a contest - especially considering the confidence they have from last weeks win. Hurricanes Sharks dead boring - the Canes had the game and were statistically dominant, it was a classic arm wrestle; what game were you watching? All signs point to a Bulls win - they didn't win a game on tour!?!?! Lions out of their depth against a Crusaders team with eight changes and no match last weekend, the Lions will play out of their skins!?!?! Waratahs rampant - the Blues were woeful - rampant since Mckenzies non-renewel - one game does not make you rampant. Poor article.

Not a bad analysis, but I think there's a few things you haven't considered. The Hurricanes blow hot or cold, but even cold they could take the Bulls, given the way the Bulls have played this season. The Force have more consistent firepower than the 'Tahs, so the game is more likely to edge the other way. The Crusaders are unbeaten, but with so many changes due to injury they might be challenged by a Lions side that really has nothing to lose, and everything to gain.
