Here’s the latest batch of alleged Spurs transfer targets along with apparent progress ...
Tiago (Juventus) £10m – Deal is closer, wages a stumbling block (Daily Mail).
Diego Capel (Sevilla) £10m – Arsenal also after winger who has a buyout clause (Daily Mail).
Albert Riera (Espanyol) £6m – Back on the table after Downing deal died (various).
Pele (Le Mans) £5m – Seen as a potential first-choice keeper at White Hart Lane (various).
Per Ciljan Skjelbred (Rosenborg) £7m – 20-year-old midfielder on the Premier League radar (VG).
Diego Milito (Real Zaragoza) £23m – Seen as a replacement for Dimitar Berbatov should the Bulgarian jump ship (various).
Morten Gamst Pedersen (Blackburn) £14m – Apparently contract negotiations have opened but the Norwegian may not be offered the deal he wants (Daily Mail).
Daniel Alves (Sevilla) £25m – Former Juande Ramos charge forever linked with a move to either Spurs or Chelsea could be on his way after reportedly falling out with coaching staff (various).
Your guess is as good as mine as to which may or may not pan out – Spurs boss Ramos is said to have a decent financial windfall to work with in the summer, but not for all of these surely!

How about NONE of these players coming to Spurs, Ramos and Poyet work with what they have already (With perhaps a left midfielder addition), and forge a team (With a couple of departures), that was lean, mean and hungry for success...oh dear they have already.

this article sums up why sportingo is the biggest load of bullsh** ever.
by m boo on February 26, 2008
What makes me laugh is all these w*****s who read sportingo have the nerve to call it B******t !!! Why read it and then slag it off, good on sportingo for making them look idiots.
by david kirby on February 26, 2008
Most of the rumours are of course made up. But if Spurs do buy again I hope they will try to carry on the policy of looking at young British players as well as overseas ones. Sooner or later there will be a cap enforced and Spurs will be well placed..

Ah, Mark, finally got back to the nonsense after a few days off for the Carling Cup, eh? The window is closed, Mark - loads of games to go - loads of things might happen - you're just writing drivel again!!
by pat nevin on February 26, 2008
All of marks articles state that what he is writing is lifted from various papers and websites. Why read something and slag it off but then when another article comes up read that too then slag that off?..your just caught in a infinity loop. Me?..i just take it with a pinch ( a large one mind ) of salt and go about my day. Its just easier to have it all in one article. DONT READ IT IF YOUR BRAIN HURTS AFTER!!!!!!. On a serious note, i heard the kitty will be £40 million. Even that is too much. The never ending saga of a left sided midfielder plus a creative center mid' is all we need to be worrying about, if that comes to the £40m then yeah spend it but no more. Otherwise we seem to be saying "let them gel" every year.

This site resembles a used tampon that has been flung out of a speeding car and killed an oap walking past. Total shite. Why not just go the whole hog and say that Spurs are buying the whole Utd team and they're also buying Real Madrid for their second choice, for 20 fags and a 2 litre bottle of cider. Tossers.

I love it... the enlarged red quotations are never actual quotes, but instead surely what Mr Apou... believes is the cream of the crap... no honestly keep it up... gives me at least 2 giggles a day.x

Agree with Dougie Fresh. Use http://www.newsnow.co.uk/contact/feedback.html to campaign to stop the juvenile scribblings of this moron cluttering up the Spurs NewsNow page!

Isnt it funny that to "add a comment" it says "personal abuse will not be tolerated" and yet Mark Apootolou is getting nothing but ha ha, I think it should be "Warning : Whiffy Spurs hearsay aplenty"
by biily fish on February 27, 2008
Cheers for the link SC BOF and Dougie. I have sent a mail to newsnow asking for sportingo removal. Matt is right the comments are more entertaining than Mark's mindless rantings and made up drivel.

I did wonder why sportingo allowed so many of Marks "articles" to be published.Until i read them. Its the biggest pile of useless kak and he should be banned. You get so many hits because of him you wont though will you?

spurs to break the big 4.....we need, keeper, winger who can play either side, center mid, stricker..... out- BENT....what a silly signing ROBBO....messed up AGAIN in the final for the goal....CHIMBONDA, good player but what the hell is going on with him.....
by alex watts on February 27, 2008
most of these players would be possible and if we do buy them they would make good signings, but why would we need pele when we have already nearly clinched a deal for a better and younger keeper
by Paul Clarkson on March 05, 2008
Mark quite clearly states: these are rumours; they are alleged transfers; he scoffs at the chances of them being real; he clearly quotes the source. Why abuse him? I don't have the time to trawl through every newspaper each morning so having all the spurs tabloid transfer gossip in one place means I can laugh at the media's fairytales with ease. I fail to see how you think this site reporting the current newspaper stories warrants getting abusive? Admittedly it is obviously not rocket science being a sportingo journalist... mearly a cut n paste job by the look of it, but complaining just makes you look simple and shows you have not actually read the article. Personally I think complaining to The Daily Mail would be more productive!
