hi tom another good article, as per usual i do a little research before i make a comment, the thing that stands out for me is that he won three european cups in 9 years, which is remarkable. if i am honest though, as a man u supporter, (and before all you scouser wade in to me, 1 do you expect me to say anything else 2 this is no disprespect to paisley) it has to be SAF.. he did exactly the same he wrestled supremacy of the league from a scouse empire, he delieved us more trophies then i can count and a treble, he also got nine trophies and challenged the old firm up in scotland.. i can not see pas t saf.. if i was completly neutral you would have to throw in to the hat brian clough, as well i think it is to difficult to say weather he was the all time best
but lets face it, success in europe.longiverty, achivements in the league, taking on the best and being the underdog. amd doing something else that no one else has done it all has to count

Good comment as is the norm from you, but as you say at the very end of your comment`doing something else that no one else has done it all has to count`and that was Paisley`s greatest achievement he did not just conquer Europe once, as some managers have done. He proved it was not just luck by going out and doing it another two times. Dont think we will see too many Chelski fans offering their opinion on who was the greatest of all time, or maybe one of them is actually going to put forward the special one.
yes that correct, he put him selves down as one of the greats by doing just that, not even SAF won 3 europeans, just one and the the european cup winners cup fro SAF, i suppose you could say for saf his defining moment was the treble, difficult to say how it would feel to witness it being won three times, as i have only ever lived though one, something that liverpool fans can boast about with the utmost of pride, but that one, what a year. i dont quite think that you can honestly put the special one in there yet, as lets face it rafa has won more silverwhere then him (two la ligas wit valancia i believe) and not even rafa is up there yet with the likes of shankley, paisley, sir matt or Sir alex and not to mention cluff. but we will see i am sure we will get some one trying to put their ten penneth in, tom not sure how much checking you have done on this but do you know if REAL MADRID when they won it five times in a row i think it was was it the same record or does paisley hold the record in europe as that
would be something,,

who was the best manager, who was the best player....rarely have more subjective qustions been asked...easy and impossible to answer depending on your standpoint...every era has its heros and somehow they alays get better the more time has passed... the main contenders have to fergusson and paisley in most people eyes....however i wouldnt ignore mr clough...didnt have the longevity of the other two may be, was much more flawed...but forest 2 european cups, i mean nottingham forest, thats got to be as good as liver pool three or united one.. in ten years we mite mention another special one , but by then he ll probably be pope jose the 1st......back to three points ...

Youneed to give morinio time, for him to he can tick all the right boxes, not sure if chelsea are going to do that though klaus( which in some ways is a shame, i for one would like to see how it pans out over the next two or three years now saf has rebuilt to see who would win, yes i know you are back to three points, would still of taken thisposition at the start of the season and compare it to last year we are 11 points better off..zhani i am not even going to lower my self getting in to an arguement with you...

SAF, has no one to challange him, it is of no suprise that uptil recently when chelsea has become the new england superpower of football, that he has won nothing (and going to win nothing) and as for those two liverpool wasters, has beens of a byegone era, who cares about history chelsea are now, this is more of man u and liverpool supporters, trying to reminise about a bye gone age, who cares about history chelsea have got money, and money talks, tom any article that preys on the past to cheers up weery liverpool and man u fans has to be poor. role on the chelski revolution....
This is exactly the sort of behavior that i am beginning to expect from chelsea supporters, acting like spoilt brats. those two wasters as you so disrespectfully called them are cornerstones of english football right along side them are SAF and brian cluff, the reason being they remind usof what football is for. the fans saf built man u without money, sure in the mid ninety when he got success the cash flowstarted but not in the eightys when liverpool were starving everyone else of trophies and the same for the two liverpool manager, built on the back of supporters, we may have to accept that chelsea have the strongest squad but we dont have to like how they are doing it, at least liverpool and man u can say there success is on the basis of their fans and gete reciepts, chelsea are just bases ona rich daddy, i am sure iwill probably get some chlesea fans backs up with what i write here including klaus but, you are just wrong on this one, i am also disapointed in the scoucers, were isyour support for the fines
finest managers of your time, you should not leave it to a "manure" fan to stick up for them. you know i really hope we stick the league right up your smug arses things like what you have wrote just make my blood boil, and considering who the article is about i would not be suprised if liverpool fanswould not prefer us to win it over you...

Craig i wondered when one of them would put forward the special one, this story riles Chelski because they have no history, Chelski were nothing before Roman`s checkbook swung open, and its going to be interesting when it slams shut one day. Klaus made a sensible argument while out of the other two Zhani and Steve, Zhani probably made more sense, but his comment `and who is dem two neva herd of dem.´probably represents the average knowledge of the game by the bandwagon chelski boys. It is true though Jose may in ten years be regarded as one of the greats if he can pull off a few European triumphs, but that will probably depend on how much money Real Madrid can give him to spend on players, now that Rafa has knocked them back again looks like they will have to settle for their second choice`the special one´
Tom you have to know were you have come from, and you have to know what made you what you are today. their is a reason why liverpool fans sing "we won it five times" their is a reason why you here the words "fergusons red army" chanted at the respectful clubs, kluas has made a good point i agree, but the other two, i see it more and more, it just makes winning sweeter, like your fa cup semi final last year, or if we pick up the prermiership, unfortunatly we are just going to have to put up with it...
a man u fan and a liverpool fan, giving each other a shoulder to cry on thanks to chelsea, if nothing else it brings you to together, ha who would of thought you would ever see the day, the two greatest teams in england looking to each other for comfort, you two are pathetic.... its just hard cheese that abromavich could buy your two clubs out 5 times over. what will your history do then after all it would then be his history.. history means nothing, you have to know where you come from, rubbish, we will win all four this season, it came from a oil barons cheque book role on the revolution here comes the roman empire
Good comment, at last you see which are the two greatest teams in England, thanks mate it was about time one of you Chelsea fans spoke sense.
NO MATE it isjust mutual respect, not all united fans and liverpool fans mouth off to each other, i go to man u i watch thr games, cost me a fortune every year just to park there. but there are some of us that can look at the OTHER GREATEST TEAM IN ENGLISH HISTORY as youput it and have a mutual and amibical conversation about each other. ie me and tom, you know steve people put a lot of effort in to writing these articles so people can sharew views, you have just turned it in to a slanging match again trying to grab the attention and the limelight for chelsea. and in doing so ruining toms hard work, more evidence of why you should be ashamed of your self, if you want to represent your club and your fans, try rasing your iq level about 20 or 30 and your mental age, and have a proper conversation...
I am a wanker

i am a wanker
there you go the confessions of a liverpublican and a manure fan, craig why dont you look at how you write and spell before you talk about my iq
not being funny mate but look at the time, what are the chances me and tom would write the same thing within a minute of each other then two minutes later low and behold you turn up go and bother some one else... and i though this article would get the manu and liverpool pitting decent arguements against each other about sir matt and SAF AGAINST PAISLEY AND SHANKLEY.. leave it to a chelsea supporter
First before you try and tell someone to learn to spell and why they question your IQ, try and decide which of your attempts at spelling the word myself is right. But most importantly have you ran out of football related facts to back up your weak argument, and do you still stand by your statement that Chelsea is not one of the two great English teams.

sri i had some woek today so i couldnt get into your petty squabbles which always seem to have the same target...as machiavelli said nothing combines as much as as a common enemy.in this case chelsea....and to see lpool and united supporters gang up on us does show a certain a amount of insecurity...let me get this rite, we have been around for a hundred years or so, the FA CUP final was held at the bridge for a few years before wembley(thats a quite a long time ago) etc etc..won a few cups, won the a couple of cwc as far as history is concerned it aint bad...obviously not like u lot , but just wait... to be realistic...romans 100 mil deal was a much better deal that the glaziers or the other guys who bot liverpool...in any case this years triupmph in athens will help he history argument a bit...we ll win every game until the end of the season which will give united the championship on goal diff...thats ok ..and the liverbirds an headache...calm down calm down
in any case..i u guys are so obsessed with history it mite be wise to enter herbert chapman into the the race for the greatest english manager... no euro trophies...but...
