How would you like to be part of the experience of 10 people traveling across the United States and seeing 366 professional sporting events in 366 days? That is what I, Joe McMackin, am setting out to do starting January 1, 2008. Why 366 days? Because 2008 is a leap year.
In regards to the other nine people that go with me, it will be a mix of friends and people who can bring me value. Being a great driver, film editor, writer, website designer/developer, or bringing in a large sponsor are the types of value you can bring to this trip. Send me your e-mails on why you think you have to go on this this trip to joe@366games366days.com or just make comments on this blog entry. Schedule This trip will consist of every major sporting event, including the Super Bowl, World Series, NBA Finals, the World Series of Poker, major horse races, etc. I have broken down the schedule of the dates that have already been determined and estimated which sporting events will be going on during the dates that have not yet been scheduled. I have also estimated some dates as well. The schedule includes double days for football on Sundays, multiple games in one day during the NCAA Tournament, and any other time I can fit multiple games in one day. I see those days being the most fun of all. If all games are attended on the schedule, then technically it would be 398 games in 366 days. I know that things happen like rain outs and flight delays so I have overestimated the attended games to reach the 366-game goal. Sponsors Obviously sponsors will be the key to making this happen. So I am calling out all large companies, small companies, and individuals that have extra tickets that think they can benefit from being a sponsor or just want to be apart of something big. The trip could even be a reality TV show. Here are some different ideas regarding sponsors: • Ticket • Airline • Car/Motorhome Rental • Food Sponsor • Restaurant • Beer • Soda/Water • Clothing • Sports Merchandise • Website • Online Video Site • Credit Card • Laptop • Navigation System • Cell Phone • Movie Promotion Charity Throughout this trip I also want to give to sports charities like the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Special Olympics, and even Little Leagues or Athletic Associations. I will be asking all my sponsors to give 10 percent more of what they are sponsoring to the charity of my choice. So if you are a charity please e-mail me to tell my why I should donate to you.

this is a great idea, I hope it works out for you and that you write about the trip after every game

Surely it would make sense to have other people join you for a limited time -- say a month -- that way you get a much better variety of folks and a broader spectrum of associated talent. Great idea. Hope it flies.
