LONDON (Reuters) - West Ham United ended a long losing sequence away from home in the Premier League with a battling 0-0 draw at London rivals Fulham on Saturday.
After a morale-boosting 1-0 victory over leaders Manchester United last week in Alan Curbishley's first match in charge, the Hammers settled for a point after ending the match with 10 men.
Defender Paul Konchesky was sent off five minutes from time after a last-ditch tackle on Wayne Routledge, although defeat would have been harsh on the visitors who had the best chances.
Matthew Etherington headed against the crossbar after 15 minutes and Marlon Harewood's shot was cleared off the line by Liam Rosenoir after the break.
West Ham still have not scored an away league goal since August but they at least ended an eight-game losing sequence on the run.
