LONDON - Former number one Tim Henman is ready to turn up for Davis Cup duty again after ending his self-imposed exile.
"I'm very happy to announce I am making myself available for Davis Cup selection once again," the 32-year-old, who last played in the men's team competition in 2004, said on his official Web site (www.timhenman.org).
"I've always enjoyed representing my country and I'm happy to be in a situation whereby I can hopefully do so again.
"Some of the best memories of my career have come from the Davis Cup and hopefully I can add to those in the not-to-distant future."
Henman had opted out of the competition to concentrate on his singles career but has been persuaded to change his mind by new British captain John Lloyd.
He is expected to make his comeback in the Euro-African Zone One home tie against the Netherlands from 6-8 April.
"I've thought long and hard about the situation since being asked to consider my position by John," said Henman, who is currently sidelined with a knee injury and will miss the Australian Open.
"Andy Murray is doing incredibly well, Greg Rusedski still wants to be part of the set-up, which means we have quite a few options now."
