Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon brushed aside the club's recent dip in form on Monday and put his faith in the Premier League champions' current squad.
The Londoners are seeking a third successive league title but are six points behind leaders Manchester United after drawing their last three league matches.
Reports in newspapers quoted an unnamed boardroom source last week as saying that manager Jose Mourinho was under pressure to get the season back on track without delay.
"You've got to look where we are today," Kenyon, who was in the Chinese capital to launch Chelsea's Mandarin language Web site, told reporters.
"We're second in the league by six points halfway through the season with arguably the toughest part of the season still to come.
"We qualified top of the group in the Champions League which, again, was arguably one of the toughest groups.
"We're in the semi-final of the (League) Cup and got through the third round of the FA Cup.
"So if we're overly concerned about that position, there's a lot more people who should be more concerned.
"I think you've got to put it into perspective. Would you rather be six points clear? Of course. But this is not the end of the season and this is not doom and gloom.
"I think we're in a very good position with a very strong squad."
Chelsea beat Macclesfield 6-1 in the FA Cup on Saturday and continue their four-pronged assault on honours with a League Cup semi-final against another fourth division club, Wycombe Wanderers, on Wednesday.
