LONDON (Reuters) - The four remaining berths in the Heineken Cup quarter-finals will be decided this weekend with Stade Francais and Wasps leading the hunt in the troubled competition.

The final pool games are being played just days after France's national league said it was pulling out of next season's cup because of a conflict between England's Rugby Football Union and Premiership clubs.

The planned boycott will not affect this season's action, where holders Munster, Leinster, Llanelli and Biarritz have already qualified for the last eight and a fearsome set of permutations await the seven clubs still hoping to join them.

The six pool winners and two best runners-up go through to the quarter-finals on March 30-April 1.

Pool One is up for grabs with a 'winner takes all' game in France between leaders Wasps and second-placed Castres, though the odds are stacked against the home side.

"It's very exciting when it goes down to the last game to decide a pool winner," said Wasps skipper Lawrence Dallaglio, whose side were 22-14 winners over Perpignan last weekend.

"The prize for whoever goes through next week is huge.

"It was a big, big performance from us to beat Perpignan, but you have to do it consistently. That is what we will be aiming for."

Pool Two has already been decided, with Leinster through and both Agen and Gloucester out of the runners-up reckoning, but Pool Three is wide open with favourites Stade Francais under threat from Ospreys and Sale, who go head to head.

The French pool leaders should make sure with a thumping victory over Italian no-hopers Calvisano who, like fellow countrymen Treviso and Overmach Parma, have failed to pick up a single point from their five games to date.

Stade president Max Guazzini is wary of taking too much for granted, though, telling reporters this week: "In rugby, you need a lot of humility."

Though Munster, with 22 points, have a guaranteed place from Pool Four, Leicester could get through as pool winners if they become the first club to beat the Irish in a Heineken Cup game at Thomond Park. The Tigers also have a chance of a runners-up slot if they lose but manage a bonus point.

Pool Five is already settled, with only Llanelli progressing, while Biarritz have similarly booked their place from Pool Six, though they could be pipped as winners by Northampton after the sides meet this weekend.
