The Indianapolis Colts beat the Chicago Bears 29-17 on Sunday to win the club's first Super Bowl title in 36 years.

Led by the passing of Peyton Manning, the running of twin backs Joseph Addai and Dominic Rhodes and the kicking of Adam Vinatieri the Colts overcame a 14-6 first-quarter deficit to triumph at soggy Dolphin Stadium where light rain fell throughout the game.

The cushion for the AFC champions' victory came on a 56-yard interception return by back-up cornerback Kelvin Hayden that made it 29-17 with 11:44 left.

Bears quarterback Rex Grossman heaved a pass towards the right sideline intended for Muhsin Muhammad and Hayden leaped in front of him to snatch the ball before racing down the sideline accompanied by blockers to reach the end zone.
