NORTON, Massachusetts (Reuters) - Tiger Woods made two eagles to pull three strokes ahead of Vijay Singh at the Deutsche Bank Championship on Monday
Woods reached the turn on 14 under par. His first eagle came on the 554-yard, par-five second hole, where he landed on the green in two strokes, leaving a 10-foot putt for eagle.
The American pumped his fist as he quickly ate into Singh's overnight lead of three shots.
His second eagle was on the 600-yard, par-five seventh, where Woods, leading by one stroke, marched to the green in two strokes to massive applause and then sunk a 12-foot putt.
Fijian Singh, had taken the lead on Sunday by shooting a course record 10-under-par 61 for his career best PGA Tour round.
Briton Justin Rose, who started the day with Woods in second place, was tied for fifth at five under par after the 10th hole.
If Woods wins, he will extend his streak to five consecutive PGA tournaments.
This Monday is the United States' Labour Day national holiday.
