sorry mayweather had two comfortable outings against castillo? yeah even though he really lost the second fight. Hatton has not been in any wars? Tszyu? Magee? Collazo? And finally you cannot refer the Collazo fight to what will happen with Mayweather..Hatton will fight at 147 but he will prob weigh 140-142 when he steps in the ring and he will be like the energizer bunny...Bring on Floyd..Lets see him pick hatton off when hatton is in his face for 36 minutes..you think hatton will stand there like a dummy and get picked off by a jab.No chance

hmmm...its true that mayweather can outbox hatton, but boxing is full of uncertainties and hattons's own intelligence is often ignored. de la hoya could hit mayweather but couldnt catch up with him, i believe that hatton can put more pressure on mayweather than oscar. as for hatton being a boxer that takes out his opponents with volume, your forgetting that he took out castillo with one shot that broke ribs, he also took out maussa with 1 left hook. you mention gatti and mitchell as legit contenders which they are not, in reality both were more over the hill than castillo. mitchell was a pumped up lightweight who was around in the 80's. everyone forgets that de la hoya stopped gatti in the 5th 4 years before mayweather did. yes, mayweather is one of the slickest boxers that ive had the pleasure to watch but he is not invinsible and the boxers he has stopped as a welterweight i feel hatton would also have done the same...bottom line mayweather doesnt punch that hard as a welterweight... dont write hatton off

Point 1: Mayweather is actually a bigger man, height and reach. Point 2: Mayweather only just beat JLC in fight 1. No comfortable win there Point 3: Please do not insult the lineal JWW champion by comparing him to Mitchel or Gatti Point 4: Hatton beat Collazo (a southpaw) by UD. Over 12 rounds, Hatton was the better man Point 5: Hatton brawl with Mayweather for 12 rounds? If it is a brawl then Hatton wins by KO in the middle to late rounds

Hatton has devastating body punches so if he gets in close past mayweathers jab then he'll destroy him. mayweather is fast but if hatton keeps pressuring him he'll win by ko. hatton is a beast in the ring and i don't think mayweather will like his pressure and power style..... prediction hatton wins round 7 ko

So Mayweather stopped Mitchell in six. Tszyu did in in three six months before fighting Hatton, and we know what happened when they met. Hatton-Collazo was made with about six or seven weeks notice and Hatton had to move up from 140 to take it. And it was his first fight in the US for a long time so there was the flying, etc., to get over. I was in the US last week and it took me four or five days to get on something like the same timezone. There are many reasons for taking easier fights to work out problems with preparation before getting into a hard fight. Hatton - typically - didn't take them. He's learned the hard way, but his last outing showed that he's learned how to prepare for a fight in Las Vegas. He has every chance against Mayweather.

I feel the calibre of Mayweather's opponents our highly overrated from 140 up the way. Most are just names suitable for HBO. Gatti has never been an elite fighter, he got a name for taking beatings. Shamrba Mitchell previous outing prior Mayweather was a 4 round kicking from King Kostya and Mayweather struggled to dispose of him in 7. Zab Judah has no chin, no stamina, no heart. Baldimor is an absolutely basic fighter and De la Hoya only fights once a year. Mayweather might have won 5 WBC world titles but from 140 up the ways not one of those fighters was recognised as the undisputed champion at their weight division. At 140 you had Hatton, 147 margarito, and at 154 ring magazine did not recognise anyone as the undisputed champ. Mayweather has broken his hand in his last 3 fights and because of this he is very conservative with how many punches he throws. Ricky Hatton is going to apply pressure that Mayweather is not comfotable with making him throw punches than he wants to. Now lets talk about the

There is no doubt that Floyd is the more accomplished boxer technically but what you will find with Hatton is that he improves when against a better fighter. He has always taken up a step in class and prevailed. Kosta was a better boxer technically but Hatton destroyed him through his relentless attack. Mayweather is a great fighter but I don't think he has ever fought someone with Hatton's guts and power before. We saw Mayweather get in serious trouble against De La Hoya in the first few rounds and then De La Hoya faded. That won't happen to Hatton. He will go and go and throw punches until Mayweather feels them, and has Mayweather really been a contest like that before? The main problem for Hatton is that he's susceptible to cuts and Maywaether is so smart he'll just pick one eye and go for it over and over again. If Hatton can avoid a cut he'll win

"Mayweather twice comfortably defeated the Mexican over 12 rounds at lightweight" - I think you need to watch that fight again, and take a look at the punchstats - Castillo easily beat Mayweather in their fight!

Hatton will lose......Mayweather will dominate him!

mayweather was lucky to beat castillo. the commentators had castillo ahead 116-111. mayweather rarely beats class fighters in their prime convincingly. Has he eva fought anyone like hatton?Have you ever seen Hatton tire? Have you seen the shape Hatton's in? Just picture this, Leonard was once invincible just like mayweather, undefeated, then a guy called roberto duran came along and leonard just couldn't deal with his energy and hard punches. I don't think floyd will be able to counter Hatton when the body punches start raining in.
