I cannot agree more on this. I am suprised that I read somewhere all those facts that were anoying me all season. I also find interesting that FIA does excellent job of removing video clips that show those questionable situations from youtube. Most interesting, clip from suspectors mobile phone that caught incident involving Hamilton behind safety car. Bravo for article.

What utter rubbish. Fuel irregularities, illegal flexing wings, suspicious boards under the cars, blatant team tactics... NONE of those came from McLaren. Ferrari tried cheating the compulsory extreme wet tyre conditions by claiming they didn't get the email in time despite everyone else and half the world knowing. Spygate had more holes in it than Swiss cheese. Sorry, Mister Ferrari lover, your calculations are wrong on the constructor's side too - McLaren would've clinched that too by a small margin. And for the single comment on here so far, there are several videos missing. Why? You shouldn't have to ask, they were evidence in investigations. Bottom line - If they had wanted Hamilton to win it, he'd have sewn it up way before the last race. Raikonnen is a deserved champion, granted, however your warping of the facts does him no credit.

how can you say that hamilton didn't deserve the drivers championship when all season he's been one of the most consistent drivers on natural ability and shown driving skill way beyond his years. Raikonnen only won at Interlagos cause Massa let him. The only way Kimi would have won going into Brazillian GP was if hamilton lost it. FACT! the points show it!

You seem to forget very quickly all of Ferrari involvements over the years. I will let you do your research on that, but the overtaking by Hamilton was on Massa was legitimate and if Ferrari got a hint of any appeal or penalty they would have protested. Secondly, there was no evidence that McLaren used any data that was obtained. Ron Dennis called the FIA that there is a document. I suppose he wanted to do the right thing, but ended up costing a fortune. Why???? Ferrari! Secondly, Lets assume the situation in Brasil was reversed and it was Ferrari involved in the exact same situation that McLaren is in. I can guarantee that Ferrari would do the same thing! In addition, it is a coincidence that this has happened in the last race of the season and that the championship relies on the outcome. If this same thing occurred early in the season then nothing would have been made of it. Lets put it this way, if Ferrari can win the F1 Constructors in the courts, then McLaren (Hamilton) can win the drivers in courts. No

Dear Chris: Fact remains that McLaren was banned and not the drivers. The FIA did try its best, could not succeed. Dear Jason: Nobody doubts Hamilton's ability. He is a fantastic driver and would certainly be champion some day. This year, he did not win it and did not deserve it. Dear F1 Fan: Whatever Ferrari had done over the years does not absolve McLaren. The FIA tried its best, but the courts had the last say. By my calculations (as in the article) McLaren would have lost the WCC on track as well. And Hamilton winning it in the courts will be very hollow. And when Chris says that no team tactics came from McLaren, what about the comment from Ron Dennis 'we are not fighting Kimi, we are fighting Fernando'? I suppose McLaren fans and Ron forgot Alonso races for them as well. Kimi put 3 stunning laps before his second pit stop to win in Brazil, Jason. He won on merit.

One Must Understand that the Bottom Line is FIA have Earned More Deals & TV Ratings Than Ever Because of Hamilton Turning to F1.. So The FIA Somehow wants to save & Keep Hamilton to Save F1's Future.. Remember Mr.Bernie the f1 Supremo said He wants HAMILTON to be crowned rather than Kimi or Alonso so waht does it means ..??
how can you say that Kimi deserves to win the chapionship over hamilton, when its been pretty much hamilton single handedly making fans flock back to sport after a boring few seasons. Hamilton is a fantastic personality to have in the sport and he will only get better and cant wait till next season when he wraps up the championship with races to spare!

F1 is the second sport I love so much (tennis is the no.1). All you wrote is absolutely true!!! I always wonder what FIA did all through the year. I appreciate you and thanks for your brave to express your ideas and I think so many people who love justice have the same as yours. Kimi is suitable to be 2007 world champ. I like Hamilton but Kimi is better!
Dear Jason: Did you say boring seasons? was 2006 a boring season? Far from it. And you probably mean only British fans who became more involved. That does not mean that Hamilton becomes more deserving? Yamamoto and Sato brought in so many fans from SE Asia and Japan, did they deserve the championship as well? If WC's were deserved only by popularity, MSC should have won in every season. (He almost managed that, what a driver) Next season is going to be tougher for McLaren. I think Kimi will wrap it up quite early. I hope the last race decides the championship. Hamilton is a talent, no doubt. His day shall come. But this year, he did not deserve it, and did not get it. And the points show Kimi 110, Hamilton 109. FACT!!

basically as long as that cheat alonso didnt win... why he and pedro de la rosa, a rite little spanish mafia, are still allowed to drive after having been found out to have been using illegal information is beyond me...if they had done that on the stockmarket they would both be in prison , if the owners had an ounce of decency they would not reemploy them ....if hamilton had won it would have been a fairy tale,...yes he made mistakes, but i honestly believe he is not as cynical (yet??) to have deliberately disadvantaged another driver..... his time will come, and if if it doesnt, it wont matter as in england heroic failure is rewarded more than in any other country....see stirling moss, frank bruno, tim henman, henry cooper.....where is daley thompson, the greatest athlete of all time...

1. At monza, Hamilton missed apex of turn 2. Replays showed contact between him and Massa subsequently causing his car to point not towards the turn but slightly away from it. To maintain speed and to avoid further damage, he rode over the chicane. No need for dewlling on it. Perfectly legal . 2. On Hamilton using 3 tyres - there has been no such precedent. Not me, not or the FIA knows what kind of penalty such an act entails. No where is it mentioned what kind of a penalty would such an act invite. So we arm chair experts cant really say that it needed a grid penalty. Also, it would be a shame if a Sunday race be decided by a inconsequential act in Friday testing. 3. About Hamilton being picked up by the crane at hungaroring, it was because the race had been red flagged in the previous lap and his was the only car which was still running at that point in time. And most importantly, the race was inconsequential - Hamilton scored no points. Finally, The best man won - and that too on track - Kimi Raik

Alonso was not a problem, the problem is Ron Denis and Ron Denis is a British. They don't like fame of other nationalities. You remember how they frustrated Montoya, now Alonso. Ok, they can sing the tunes of Lewis, but wait, it may be very close for him to play music of pride for his people, not until they get a white British, then Lewis himself is down like the rest and may be it will his turn to turn to Alonso for advice, he might be the one to cry not to Briatore, but to his own Daddy, oh Daddy you see what they have done to me. Alonso and Kimi, are the best. Michael was always favoured by the President of F1 coz the President of F1 is a personal friend of Montezemolo. So, the greatest drivers of this generation remain Alonso and Kimi. Michael is a cheating driver, like parking intentionally to block others.
