Hi Edmund I quite agree with you that the existing table is primitive but my calculations generate a different result to yours. My method: a) Score Gold = 3, Silver = 2, Bronze = 1 to arrive at a Total b) Divide that total into the population of a count

hmmm....21M Aussies and 60M Brits statistically we should be beating them most of the time, the idea we are pleased by being slightly higher than them in an absolute table is absolutely hilarious! (..as well as mildly embarrassing)
