I think it may have something to do with how much he would cost - especially since Campbell is doing well at Spurs and could be a viable option - for free. I don't see Benzema coming, he would expect to be a starter, what we need is good backups for Rooney

It was a big mistake to sign Berbatov, we should have gone for Benzema instead.
