The plot thickens ... with the Tevez deal not put to bed yet could there be a another option? http://www.skysports...
KARIM BENZEMA IS THE REAL DEAL.
Jim I think that's quite harsh on Tevez, given the effort he puts in his game. Yes he should score goals sometimes, but I would not mind as long Ronaldo, Rooney and Berbatov can take care of that. But saying this, I respect your opinion, and we will see ho
agree with jim. benzema is a class act. tevez is a poor mans rooney. lots of huff and puff, has some good games, but united should be in the market for the very best strikers in the world, and tevez isn't one of them. benzema may well be. i expect us to le
You all have good points. I like Tevez. He's hard working on the pitch, and he provides Man U with a different facet that opponents will have difficulty adjusting when combined with Rooney's and Berbatov's game. Honestly, Man U does not need another for
Considering we have Welbeck,Campbell and Manucho all coming through and a few more of promise in the reserves and academy is it a good move to pay 30million for Tevez. At 20m he would be ok but for me the big price tag is just too much.Having said this i a
That's what I was thinking dimi, Benzema is very talented and should have a big future but United have decent young strikers like Tevez and Rooney, also aren't you getting Rossi back soon from Villarreal or is that not true?
Not really. All we have is a clause in his contract giving us the first option in buying him back. It's a shame really, coz the guy has real talent. Benzema would do well at Old Trafford, but I think he's gonna cost a lot, and I think we would do better lo
Oh right,I thought Rossi was on one of those new loan moves where you sell him to Villareal and 2 years later you buy him back for roughly the same price like we've got with Carson. Well that clears it up anyway uldenia, unlikely to be back anytime soon.

The Lyon striker Karim Benzema says he wants to discuss his future with club president Jean-Michel Aulas at the end of the season with a view to a move abroad - possibly to Manchester United. The 20-year-old Benzema, who scored a majestic goal against Uni

Good player, but I can't see a transfer happening, not unless Tevez, or Ronaldo, or both!, depart in the summer. Assuming we tie up the Tevez deal as reported before christmas, and Ronaldo stays next season, I don't see us firstly having the funds availabl
agreed. id rather see tevez stay than signing benzema. And id also like to see more opportunitys for welbeck and manucho. He just isnt a viable option given our frontline. IMO Benzema is actually overated. he obviously has class but im am 100% sure he w
I agree Steve. We only needed one first team signing in the summer with the arrival of Berbatov. All we need to do now is convert the Tevez loan into a permanent signing and I don't honestly see the need to strengthen the squad for quite some time, unless
Personal opinion. Benzema is going to be the best centre forward in the world. I would buy him and release Tevez tomorrow.
I'd be happy with Tevez staying aslong as he stops 'over-running' needlessly, I admire his work rate and closing down, but sometimes he just needs to get into a good position, which he';s rarely in. Benzema is going to be a top 3 player, so I thought this
But Benzema has said time and again that La Liga is his first choice should he decides to leave Ligue 1. He prefers either of the two La Liga giants and has made it abundantly clear in his past utterances, we shouldnt waste our time on a player who will n

It was a big mistake to sign Berbatov, we should have gone for Benzema instead.

@ Szeles That's my point of view anyway. We will neither pay Tevez's very steep asking price to make his move permanent nor afford Benzema's transfer fees in this current economic climate. Benzema will be great acquisition if we can get him but frankly, t
Who knows. I'll say the same as I did in the thread about Karim Benzema, we just don't need him, whether he's the new Ole or not. With Rooney, Berbatov, and Tevez we have 3 good strikers. With talented prospects like Welbeck and Campbell, and Manucho possi
Just when you think it can't get any better, Chris adds - "Oh and he's a dead ball specialist!" So exciting. As I was saying in the Benzema thread I can see United not having to make any major signings for some time, unless forced to by circumstance.
Credit crunch my @rse, United have 5 good options upfront even without Tevez included, not to mention Benzema on the radar.

I think it may have something to do with how much he would cost - especially since Campbell is doing well at Spurs and could be a viable option - for free. I don't see Benzema coming, he would expect to be a starter, what we need is good backups for Rooney
