Australian Open - Day Six
Home favourite Lleyton Hewitt crashed  out of the Australian Open to an inspired Fernando Gonzalez despite saving three match points. The Chilean, seeded 10, won 6-2, 6-2, 5-7, 6-4.

Nikolay Davydenko, James Blake and Andy Murray advanced comfortably but  Argentinian David Nalbandian had to come back from two sets down to beat former finalist Sebastian Grosjean of France in five tough sets.

Rafael Nadal had an easy passage to the fourth round, beating Switzerland's Stanislaw Wawrinka in straight sets. And Davydenko also had no trouble against the oldest player on the men's draw, 'The Magician' Fabrice Santoro, in his last appearance in Melbourne Park.

Fifth-seed Blake knocked out fellow American Robby Ginepri 7-6, 7-5, 6-2 while Britain's Murray, seeded 15th, breezed past Argentinian Juan Ignacio Chela 6-3, 6-2, 6-4 set up a last-16 clash with Nadal.

On the women's side, Kim Clijsters, also in her last Australian Open, won her third-round match against Alyona Bondarenko of the Ukraine easily, while Martina Hingis, Maria Sharapova and Vera Zvonareva also won.

Day Seven
Two very interesting men's matches will see Roger Federer take on Serbia's new young star Novak Djokovic and Andy Roddick against Croatian Mario Ancic. Amelie Mauresmo, Serena Williams, Elena Dementieva and Svetlana Kuznetsova will all be in fourth-round action while on the outside courts there will be full schedule of doubles and mixed doubles action.
