Andy Murray, the 19-year-old Scot, was pleased despite his fourth round loss to eventual semifinalist Nikolay Davydenko. Now, the ATP polls are proving just how right he was.
Murray moved up to 16th in the world, an all time high for the youngster. He can look forward to easier draws and some seedings in upcoming tournaments.
The next Grand Slam tennis tournament will be in January at the Australian Open.
