This story was interesting when it came out but then I thought well gamblers are opportunists and they will know when a top sportmans in trouble the odds will change and if they are quick enough make money from it. I have seen this many times and it happens in all sports, just because a player is injured we should not make assumptions they are involved in betting rackets!

Hi Stuart, I agree with you and that's one of the reasons betfair is innovative - you can bet during the match. But you don't often see people bet 10 times more than usual and that's the part that's being investigated. Davydenko is not the first guy to continue a match when he was struggling. What would explain that? Group psychology - a number of gamblers do it and everyone follows like you see in the stock market? What do you think?
