Sania Mirza is doing a lot, basically she laying the foundation for future Indian stars. But if she goes to the top of the women's game it will take a lot of time. Were starting to see an important factor from her,she is consistent right now. But if she has the belief to hit with the best, then good luck because competition in the younger players is so tough. Hope her the best in the future. Great article asif

Sania's Legacy will really be measured by the number of youngsters she can inspire to take up the sport. These youngsters will then form the next generation of Indian tennis and India will not have 1 but many Sanias.

What the writer forgot to mention is that Sania has broght the world together! Not just a nation but nations. Sania has become a household name in Israel as well as Pakistan. She has a following of Hindu, Muslim, Christian, Sikh and Jewish fans all over the world! Although Sania proclaims that she is a deeply religious person, yet has shown that religion is personal and belongs in ones heart and not on the tennis court! She has defied the 'mullas' and worn proper tennis outfit and partnered with Shahar Peer despite the 'mullas' screams! Sania is a true inspiration, and thats why we and the world loves her!

Mirza's single greatest contribution has been the provision of a sporting role-model to a new generation of tennis players and more significantly, to female athletes in India. The Indian sporting establishment is appalling, the girls' sporting structure more so.. Her story is a success of personal desire over local customs, financial constraints, misconceptions surrounding women in sport, discouraging administrative set-up and tough road to glory.. that is the ITF circuit.. Charm and beauty are allies of the young Hyderabadi.. Ultimately, she must realise her full sporting potential, for then alone will she justiy the tremendous hype generated by the Indian media.. Here's wishing for more Indian tennis success..
