They play on Saturday, because theirs were the only two matches that were actually second round matches.

it will take a bigger man to fill roger's shoes... i mean honestly, what has isner really done? he has had one good tournament... let's not get ahead of ourselves... when he achieves something actually worth while mentioning, then we can discuss his chances of walking in federer's shoes...

i believe in the next 6 to seven years Isner can,t even break into to 30, he is not agile as a tennis player should be, and he will also have the same problem as roddick, as he has a good server, so the rest of the game is gonna suffer.

isner next to succeed federer? top 30 by end of the year? Isner "precocious talent"? lol. are you his brother? he has a serve and er.........nothing else. if he has ivo karlovic's career he'll have done well. get real.

It is interesting how talent is spotted and encouraged (to put it mildly with the hype that Isner is getting) so early in the US. I am surprised that no one told him to quit college and become a pro sooner. With the phenomenal support he is getting (the fans, the media), the fact he's playing in the US, he poses a real threat to anyone at this time. When things to tie-breaks, it is basically tossing a coin - his serve versus Roger's game. I am sure some 20,000 fans will be roaring to see blood - Isner beat the Great Federer.

Isner's serve has proven to be his biggest weapon, however i'm not sure if he poses an all around game that could really challenge Federer tomorrow. But don't forget that big servers such as Ivo Karlovic have posed as a challenge to Federer in the past. Never count Isner out.

raise that issue real stupid. The Americans cannot accept the fact ANY American will not be top ever. For once money will not buy it.

John Isner may quite possibly be the future KING of tennis PROVIDED he does the following: 1. Does not merely depend on his high power service to win it all 2. Learns the other aspects of playing tennis such as a good ground game, court coverage (not just being close to the net and COVER the court with his wide body) 3. Ability to prevail on long rallies from various points on the court 4. To sum up, develop an allround game If all of the above can be achieved in the next 5 year ( before he turns 27) he has a chance to become a king of tennis (if not an EMPEROR of tennis).
