I'm so proud to be a Roddick fan. His enthusiasm for Davis Cup is so contagious he makes me proud to have him representing the USA. I wouldn't have any other team than him and the Bryan brothers and even James Blake. His love for Davis Cup is so unlike Federer who only cares about himself and his prissy cosmetics and handbags, Andy Roddick understands that there's more to tennis than just him. He is a right young man. I'll be rooting for USA to go all the way!

Hi Jessica, I agree. I'm proud of Roddick too. I understand why Federer doesn't do much Davis Cup though. First of all he has to carry the team and that means playing two singles matches and doubles. Also, he gets to the final of most tournaments and that's more matches in a row that most players by far. Federer's goal is slams, not Davis Cups. I think Roddick would love a few more slams himself but he might have to settle for Davis Cup.

Hi Gabs, Nice to see you over here. Roddick says that he had four goals as a professional (I believe I have these right): a US Open title, a Wimbledon title, number one ranking and a Davis Cup title. If he gets the Davis Cup title then Wimbledon would be the only missing part. I hope he gets it. He's a bit prickly to deal with personally but he's done a fantastic job for U.S. tennis and I really appreciate him.

Team USA got lucky to get past the Tczech Rep. because Berdych plays horribly on clay and because Stepanek wasn't back on the Davis Cup team and Hanescu was injured and came out of retirement just for this Davis Cup tie. Had Stepanek been on that team, that would have even helped Berdych out and they would have beaten Roddick and Blake on clay. Team USA is lucky to have the Bryans too because Blake is just 11-7 in DC history and has lost match to the worst players possible,no matter the surface. Give me a break! Bob and Mike and Andy saved the day because Bjorkman and his less than sub-par team cannot play on clay to save their lifes. If The US wins the Davis cup in december, that's the closest thing Andy Roddick will have to a slam because he is finished.Federer,Nadal,Djokovic,Gasquet,Murray,Berdych will fare better than Roddick and especially Blake. Blake hasn't made it past the 3th round at the Aussie,1st round in Paris,3th round at Wimbledon,4th round at the USO and this is is STILL in the top 10. The ATP
