Given the draw, henin/jankovic/williams/tchak : the two players advancing from that group will also win their semis and confront each other again the final. So for me : Jelena Jankovic vs(either) Serena or Justine in final.

Can anybody get over this Serena thing? This is like a fantasy that cannot be fulfilled in the real world. Serena is no longer part of the present of the Tennis elite (Justine and Roger). We hear this every tournment (Roland Garros, Wimbledon, US Open, Madrid). The fact is Justine defeated her in each of these events and she is out of Madrid after one set. This is not the Serena of 2001. Meanwhile, Justine has improved to become the "Female Federer" and is a full level above the rest of the field. Even when she plays bad, she wins.

Serena and Venus are still in the class with Justine. They will always be elite players. Serena will defend her Australian title & Venus will defend her Wimbledon title and as usual, Justine will take French. I think the US Open is up in the air for 2008. Serena is not focused but we all know that when she turns it on, it's on. No one will stop her. She is a bit disappointed in herself but I know that she will be on top of 2008. It will be Serena, Justine and Venus' year again.
