For me the fact that Serena and Venus were extremely talented and grew up in a hostile environment(giving them fighting/winning spirit) overshadows Richards input. I'll be very surprised if he manages to create new super players, except if his initiative gets backed up by heaps of money, input of world class players and a good PR system that attracts/recruits the new youngsters. He should give Venus/Serena tutor possibilities, and also invite Carlos Rodriguez for a guest seminar;-)

I am pretty sure he knows what he is doing Steven. You are right, he should invite Carlos Rodriguez to the academy to give a lesson on how to cheat, lie, and uphold anti-sportmanship like qualities.LOL

C'mon. You know that fan discussions usually are black/white. If you say that Carlos Rodriguez isn't a good coach, it would be the same as telling the sisters can't play. Don't give me that "LOL"again-gets real boring;-). I know Justine, as she sponsors our children fund in Belgium. She can go very far in wanting to be the best(sometimes to far)but just always refocusing on that hand in RG(which was wrong of her) and then saying she/Henin clan cheats, lies, are anti-sportive and stuff is stupid. I'd love to see Venus/Serena in Henins school in Belgium to, for a seminar(great players). Don't always take things so personal, and don't overexaggerate because you are a fan of other(also good ) players.

Both Carlos Rodriguez and Richard Williams are great at their job. Richard has always told the williams that impossible is nothing and Carlos as been a father figure in justine's life. He is loyal and justine always trusts him. I don't think Richard will be very technical to the students he will be inspiring and will help them mentally. Yes, it would be really funny if henin, the williams sisters, richard and carlos all sat down for dinner. lol :)

I think Richard Williams' success tactic has been nothing less than spectacular. It is very difficult to train and inspire one person, not to mention two of the most well known tennis legends in the history of tennis. I am convinced that he can do the job; it is left up to the individual if they wish to commit to a tennis career.

I'd be curious to see how this turns out for him. I think the reason he was so effective with his daughters is because they are his daughters. He got to affect their thinking 24/7, and there was no "going over the line." Now, he's got other parents to deal with, and it's just not clear what his gameplan is and how others will like it.
