In Response to Scott Nairns: Re: Rafael Nadal. I enjoyed reading your summary and I wish I could've said it as well and agree with every word and hope it comes true for Rafael Nadal. He's a great tennis player, and I feel he is also a genuine, and good person. I feel great and it gives me hope when people of his character are on top. Vamos Rafa

RAfa is a great person and I agree with Kira that it is good to see people with good charachter be at top of sports versus some egocentric ones who see"Greatness" when looking at the mirror! Your Mum's first prediction was right. RAfa made it to the semis with no problem. This is a huge step and it will be just great to see him going to the finals. I am not going to speculate but take it one match at a time like Rafa. Right now he has more points than last year and who knows what can happen. Vamos Rafa!

"PERSONAL ABUSE WILL NOT BE TOLERATED" your coment page notes. So why the gratuitous negativity towards Cliff Richard. This is supposed to be a report about tennis isn't it?

I think you should change the word 'all' in the title. I personally find great pleasure watching the sheer brilliance of Tennis exhibited by Federer. Long may it continue. Of course, Nadal is absolutely fantastic. Why bemoan one player - cheer the both. We haven't had this level of competition since the early years of Sampras and Agassi. Embrace it.

Thankyou for your fabulous article. Loved the way you worded it. Ion't find Federer plays awesome tennis, but don't feel compelled to watch him play. It gets predictable and boring after a while. Rafa, however, is the opposite. You can feel his intensity and passion for the game. He makes me want to watch tennis! His humility and good manners add to his charisma.

Tim, apologies for offending Sir Cliff!, i retract those comments. It was just meant to be a little bit of humour. :(

I couldn't disagree more that Federer has no charisma or personality. He's not showy, but then he doesn't have to be. His game does the talking. And it might be predictable that he's going to win, win, win, but when you actually watch his matches, especially against other top players, it's anything but boring. I'm fascinated by his game, so he could never be dull to me. Plus, I found out he was really a very cool guy by reading his ATPtennis.com blog last year. You must not know about Captain Wasabi!!
