Roger Federer desperate to break the mould of Rafael Nadal's clay supremecy
The four-times World Sportsman of the year attempts to break his French Open bogey this month, the only Grand Slam that eludes him.

Roger Federer, the long-standing World No. 1 (officially the best man in the world since February 2004) is, in the eyes of many people, the greatest male tennis player the world has ever seen.
However, it is too easy for his detractors to claim that until he wields a full Grand Slam of titles, he cannot engrave his name alongside a galaxy of legends.
At not even 30 years of age (born in August, 1981) Federer has the potential to win more titles than any other man in history. He already has 12 Grand Slam titles to his name, with three Slams claimed at Melbourne Park, five at Wimbledon and four at the US Open. He also holds the record for featuring in 10 consecutive Grand Slam finals.
In 2006, Federer had possibly his greatest year, claiming all of the Grand Slams except the French Open at Roland Garros. He claimed the trophies at Indian Wells and the Miami Masters, being the first player to ever defend those two titles. His clay record was not poor in this year despite it being his worst surface.
