Roger Federer, the Swiss world No.1, can say that he has already achieved almost everything a tennis player is able to.

He has amassed 54 singles titles including 12 Grand Slams. He is a five-time Wimbledon champion, three-time Australian Open champion and has won the US Open four times. But the fourth Grand Slam, the French Open at Roland Garros, remains elusive for Federer.

Rafael Nadal and Federer have played each other 15 times, and Nadal leads nine to six in wins. From those nine matches, seven were played on clay and two was played on hard court; Nadal has yet to beat Federer on grass. It is also interesting, that only once has Federer bested Nadal on clay; last year in Hamburg.

'Can Federer finally fight himself and Nadal at the same time to win at Roland Garros?'

Their last meeting was this year in Monte Carlo, which Nadal won in straight sets. He seems to be simply unbeatable on clay, and coming into the Roland Garros tournament, which  begins on May 25th, he seems to be in excellent condition. But then again, he will be facing the world No.1.

Can Federer finally fight himself and Nadal at the same time to win at Roland Garros, or will he have to wait another year for the next opportunity? The show gets underway in ten days, where the clay awaits them both.

But who will be the next king of clay? Maybe even someone other than Nadal and Federer? Surprises can happen at any time.
