Seven Grand Slams at 25 - how many more titles would Justine Henin have won?
Tennis has lost a great champion with the world No.1's retirement. She was one of the best players ever to grace a court, but at least she has retired at the top of her game and now can look forward to a life of new challenges.

I don't think anyone could believe the news last week that Justine Henin has retired from professional tennis. I mean, if it had been news of Amelie Mauresmo retiring then this would have been more plausible after the former world No.1 had dropped down the rankings and was struggling to win matches, never mind tournaments.
But Henin! The current world No.1 - and by a distance. What a sad day for tennis as the diminutive Belgian finally hung up her tennis shoes.
Justine was one of the great women's players of recent times. I remember when she first burst onto the tour in 1999, winning her debut tournament in Antwerp as a wildcard. I instantly took notice of the name as its very rare a player has the confidence Henin had right from the start of her career.
he never looked back and went on to win 41 singles titles throughout her glittering career. Her seven Grand Slam titles puts her right up there with the very best players, and you have to remember she retired at the age of just 25. How many more Grand Slam victories could she have had? I would say at least another four or five; if she had played into her early 30s, maybe more.

She doesn't need to be compared. She has been unique in her drive, her talent, the love she had for the game and the pleasure she has given to her fans. One always knew you had to beat her--she was not going to let you winl

Henin is/was my true tennis champion. Though Wimbledon eluded from her, I believe she could/would have won it if she had the desire and motivation to push her. Nevertheless, it is with sad feeling that I had to let her go. Henin wasn't just playing great tennis, she was TENNIS at its best. Period.
