I think a lot of what you say is colored by past memories. I remember 10 years ago thinking fondly of Borg and Emerson, Laver and company. We need to stop looking back. The future is the name of the game.

I don't think it's fair to compare the current ATP circuit with the seniors tour. As you mention, the guys on the seniors tour are our there for fun - yes, they're competing, but let's face it - that tennis is truly for the audience and not for the development of the sport. The active players on the ATP tour are constantly trying to improve - for rankings, for money, for seedings and to better the competition of the game, so the entertainment value is just different.

I don't agree with your areticle. Tennis is my PASSION. I've watching tennis for 25 years. Even John Mc Enroe stated 2 years ago: Federer is best ever tennisplayer. Nadal is the 2nd best CLAY champion after Bjon Bork. You have to knoe more about TENNIS to write something GOOD. Montreal Canda

Is today's ATP tour even worth watching? Don't get me wrong Federer is brilliant, Nadal is too, but it's not the personalities, it's the change in the gamestyle. We see less and less long drives. This gives less opportunities for players to pull off something exhilirating. Yes I might miss the old characters, but today's players have charactr too, so it's not that...
