Four years after Greece stunned the rest of Europe in Portugal, the biggest names in European football will compete again in Austria and Switzerland. Whilst the co-hosts are unlikely to progress past the group stages there are plenty of teams who could challenge. World Cup winners Italy, an improving Germany side and perennial challengers France are probably the favourites. Although, following his 42-goal season Cristiano Ronaldo could lead the Portuguese to the title and Spain, with talents such as Fabregas and Torres, have arguably the best team in the tournament. Dark horses include Turkey and Croatia who stunned England in the qualifying rounds. For football lovers around the globe the enticing prospect of 23 days of jam packed action and excitement awaits.
